PLS Pressure Compensating Flow Valve (piar).
From 2008 Access lifts switched from the old ‘crash valve’ to the new Pressure Compensating Flow Valve (if a lifting cylinder has an angled/welded port at the rear crash valves must be used).
The flow valves are designed to limit the max flow of oil from the cylinders to 3/4L per/min ensuring a steady DOWN speed is maintained even if a hydraulic hose or fitting ruptures. These valves are machined in matching pairs and should ALWAYS be replaced in pairs to ensure balanced flow from left to right lifting cylinders.
The Pressure Compensating Flow Valves are sold as a pair.
